All About Dogs Brentwood 2009
My party consisting of my wife Jacky and I, daughter Molly, daughters friend Maddy and of course BB, arrived in the sunshine at the showground. We then walked are way through the crowds to the Main Marquee in search of all things Corso. Once inside, the Corso Stand really stood out. The banner, display panels, hand outs and posters really made the stall.

Mind you being manned or should that be womanned by four lovely “Ask me about the CANE CORSO ladies, as well as housing some prime Corso flesh, may have had something to do with it as well.

Introductions over and being handed an “Ask me about the Corso T Shirt” which I managed to squeeze onto my not too insignificant frame, BB and I took our place on the stand. Soon Barney joined me to balance up the male female ratio, but funnily enough most enquiries were directed to the “Ask me about “ girls!
The day for me was terrific really, with some lovely people stopping to ask about the dogs and some equally lovely and committed people doing all they could to show just how great the Corso is.
All the dogs were on their best behaviour, woe betide any that weren’t with Mistress Barbie in attendance.

BB did her bit especially with the kids, she is such a softie with them.
But it was when the dogs were taken out of the marquee for walks or cooling down that heads were turned. The Corso is a real impact dog and definitely has the wow factor.

Some of the dogs were taken to the Dock Dogs attraction which is basically a doggie swimming pool, none of the Corsi owners could persuade their dogs to jump in, but it was fun watching them try.

Cooling down the dogs just had to be done by hose pipe instead.

Now naturally I would have a biased opinion and for me the Corso Stand was the best there, but when other breed stand people stopped to make a point about how positive the Breed was being portrayed and how good the Corso stand was, you will have some understanding of how good an impression was made.
“You and your dogs are a credit to the breed”, said one lady “I have to say you have been brilliant today, so well behaved “said another.
Those simple comments belie the hard work and dedication that went into organizing the day, to get it all together was a logistical triumph, and I would once again like to express many thanks to all those involved.
Sadly I could not stay for day two, but I hear it was equally as good as day one.
The Corso in this country can only benefit from days like these and all involved can and should take a huge well done.
Same again next year anyone?
