Rescue Strategy
The BCCS aims to provide support and advice for any and all shelters that think they may have had a Corso surrendered to them, including:
● Help with identification of the breed
● Help finding the original breeder where possible and contacting said breeder
● Sourcing suitable foster care if necessary
● Recommending and informing other relevant rescue organisations
● Profiling and advertising dogs on the BCCS site
● Assisting with vetting potential owners and home checks
● Assessing dogs in shelters if requested
● Providing after-adoption support for owners through the FOCC
Rescue organisations are always looking for transporters, foster carers and permanent homes. The tireless work of those who dedicate their time and resources to rescuing these dogs is appreciated.
